  • Soprano soloist with the Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia in J.S. Bach “Magnificat” and Beethoven Mass in C (aired on WRTI).

  • Soprano soloist with West Jersey Chamber Music Society in J.S. Bach: Cantata "Erschallet, ihr Lieder" (BWV 172).

  • Performed as chorister under conductors: Yannick Nézet-Séguin, Riccardo Muti, Alan Gilbert, and Nathalie Stutzmann.

  • Performed and recorded the soundtrack for “Candide: Make Our Garden Grow” with the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir for the 2023 film Maestro, directed by and starring Bradley Cooper.

Jina Jang began learning piano at the age of four and became a church accompanist by the time she was ten. Over the years, she has served as a pianist for choirs and ensemble groups, performing regularly with various vocal ensembles.

Ms. Jang graduated summa cum laude from Hanseo University in South Korea, where she received a full scholarship, and won first place in both the Dong-A Music Concours and the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra Competition. She studied voice under soprano Jung Ae Lee in South Korea and soprano Harolyn Blackwell in the New York City.

She has appeared in numerous concerts with professional ensembles, including as a core member of The Philadelphia Singers, The Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia, Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, and Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts and Carnegie Hall.

For eight years, Ms. Jang worked as the Music Director for the Zion Choir and Boram Choir at First Global Methodist Church in Cherry Hill, NJ. Presently, she performs and sings with the Philadelphia Symphonic Choir, the choral ensemble that primarily performs with the Philadelphia Orchestra.

She is a professional freelance singer, available for concerts, weddings, funerals, and other formal events in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area.
